Food Allergy Research and Education - FARE

Food allergy advocacy has been a passion of mine for many years. I've had life-threatening allergies since I was born, and became heavily involved in the community my sophomore year. FARE is a national non-profit dedicated to food allergy education, advocacy, and ultimately finding a cure. FARE has a Teen Advisory Group (TAG) that I am a part of, where I've had the opportunity to write three blog posts for the FARE website. One personal narrative reflecting on my experience with allergies, and two educational pieces for my peers.

My friends and I at the FARE Contains: Courage Summit in 2019. I am second from the right, and unfortunately one of the only ones not matching. We spent a lot of time bonding, trying lots of the food allergy-friendly snacks and visiting information sessions.
